Could work-based learning help rural towns prepare students for a new economy close to home?

For American Public Media's Marketplace, I reported on the Harpswell Coastal Academy, a new school in the coastal town of Harpswell, Maine that's trying teach kids how to work from as early as 6th grade -- from cleaning the bathrooms to designing menus for local restaurants.
